Tourism in Breton
The Breton Golf Course (Deer Crossing) is a family oriented course that was established in 1964 by the residents of the Village of Breton.Breton residents are committed to tourism and look forward to assisting our visitors with information that will help make their stay exciting and successful. Our businesses pride themselves on service, professionalism, and hospitality.

With two rivers, large tracks of boreal forest and the amazing Brazeau Reservoir, Brazeau County is home to 4,113 hectares of fresh water and the area is fast becoming the backyard playground of the greater Edmonton region. We hope you enjoy your stay in our beautiful area. Take in the pristine surroundings, the natural attractions, and many different amenities of the Brazeau County area.

Especially for Breton, residents find there's always something to do here, whether it's visiting with friends and family, taking a walk on our paved walkways, or playing a round of golf at one of our two golf courses. While visiting the area, you are invited to attend many of our community events like Black History Day at the end of February, and Canada Day on July 1st.

The Breton Golf Course (Deer Crossing) is a family oriented course that was established in 1964 by the residents of the Village of Breton. If you're looking for a campsite, we hope you will visit our Breton RV Park. Operated by the Breton Elks Club and located beside the Breton Golf Course, we are a perfect choice for your holiday tour.

The Big T is a beautiful 9 hole golf course minutes north of Breton Alberta, a great course to book your fundraising tournament.

The scenic North Saskatchewan River and its beautiful river banks are the backdrop for the members of the Drayton Valley Paddling Club. Whether you're interested in weekly instructional programs, daytrips or adventurous overnight stays, the Drayton Valley Paddling Club has something for everyone.

Important breeding bird habitat provides excellent opportunities for bird watching at the Coyote Lake Nature Sanctuary. The Nature Sanctuary is open to the public for daytime visits and self-guided hikes. It is accessible by vehicle. Interpretive walks are also available for interested groups who book ahead.

A rather unique spot for folks travelling through our region is a stop at the Breton Soil Plots. They are the only continuous, long-term plots on Gray Luvisols in Canada and possibly in the world. The Breton Plots are a part of the North American Great Plains Network and the Global Change and Terrestrial Environment Soil Organic Matter Network.

The Breton Plots are a living library containing much information about how management practices have affected soils and crops.

What you'll enjoy most about travelling around the Breton area is our wide open spaces, Rocky Mountain views, freedom to roam, and the great people who welcome you!
