Village Council
Village Council 2021 - 2025, Mayor Glory Tornack, Deputy Mayor Alan Barker, Councillors Shayanne Sheaves, Heather Barrett, Bob ParkynThe Village of Breton is governed by a Mayor and 4 Councillors. Council fulfills the legislative function of the Village's municipal government. Council is responsible for establishing corporate policy and direction for both the short and long term.

Council Committees

Council meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers of the Carolyn Strand Civic Centre. The public is welcome to attend all regular Council Meetings.

Our Strategic Plan 2021-2025 is an important part of community sustainability, providing direction to staff and council as they allocate available resources to achieve a common vision of Breton in the future.


Elections
Municipal Elections throughout Alberta are held every four years. The current Breton Village Council is in office from October 2021 to October 2025. The next Municipal Election will take place in October 2025. Elections are held in accordance with the provincial Municipal Government Act.
